Game rules

What is the goal of KaBoo!?

Finish the round with the lowest card total. Your four cards begin face-down and you may look at only the bottom two at the start. On your turn, improve what you think you have—or call KaBoo! when you believe your total is lowest. Everyone else then gets one final turn.

What can I do on my turn?

Draw from the deck or take the top discard. You can swap that card into your grid, sending the old card to the discard pile, or discard the drawn card. Eligible power cards work only when drawn from the deck and then discarded.

How does Snap work?

Whenever anyone discards, a short snap window opens. If one of your cards has the same rank, tap it quickly to shed it. A wrong guess exposes that card to everyone and adds a penalty card to your grid.

When should I call KaBoo!?

Call instead of drawing when you think your hand is ready. Your cards lock, every other player receives one final turn, and then all hands reveal. Calling early is powerful—but another player can still finish below you.

8 · 9Peek at one of your own cards

Q · KLook at two cards, then choose whether to swap

Power effects apply when the card is drawn from the deck and discarded—not when it is taken from the discard pile.

In match play, landing exactly on 50 drops your total back to 25. Once a player goes over 100, the match ends and the lowest cumulative score wins.

Troubleshooting

Can I resume an interrupted local game?

Yes. Return to the home screen and choose Continue your table. A real local game is saved automatically as play advances. Tutorial rounds are intentionally not saved over your active game.

I cannot join a friend lobby

Check that both devices are online, confirm the lobby code exactly, and make sure the host has not already filled every seat or started the table. If the problem continues, close and reopen KaBoo! before asking the host for a fresh lobby.

The table looks stuck or unresponsive

Wait a moment for any active animation or online turn to finish. Then return home and resume the table. If the controls remain unavailable, restart the app and check for an update. Include your device, app version, and what happened before the issue when contacting support.

Does KaBoo! respect accessibility settings?

The interface uses semantic labels, large interaction targets, and honors the device's reduced-motion preference. If an accessibility setting causes a problem, please tell us the device model, OS version, and setting involved.

Profile & progress

How do I change my player name?

Open Progress from the home screen, then use the edit button beside your current player name. Your new name is used at local tables and when creating or joining supported friend lobbies.

Where are my wins, streaks, and badges?

Open Progress from the home screen. Local play statistics are stored with the app on that device. Removing the app or clearing its storage may remove that local history.

How do I ask about or delete online data?

Use the contact form below with the subject Privacy or data request. Do not include lobby codes, passwords, or other sensitive information in the first message.
